THE PROJECT

Current resources (data, knowledge, services, and tools) for health and food sciences are fragmented, lacking critical mass, and access to these resources is not distributed equally within the community. To address this problem, Food Nutrition Security-Cloud was born. It represents a major challenge for Europe, as efforts must be made to integrate all this data, which is currently fragmented, into a single solution.

THE PRODUCT

OBJECTIVES

The main goal of the EU-funded FNS-Cloud project is to be able to move beyond this fragmentation by trying to bring together FNS data on diet, health and consumer behavior, as well as sustainable agriculture and bioeconomy.

SOLUTION

The proposed and implemented cloud solution will increase the exploitation of FNS knowledge and help reduce knowledge gaps that inhibit public health and agricultural policy. It will also help the food industry reduce development and production costs and increase sustainable production. Ultimately, the cloud solution will facilitate informed and healthy choices by consumers.
